Controlled Chaos

2017

This research focuses on using the element of chance to determine the outcome of a composition. I was invited to share the exploration at the Society of Typographic Arts (STA) 2017 Design Inspiration Weekend — Jan, 2017 in Itasca, IL.

The thoughtful and justifiable decisions that designers normally make when creating work for clients were replaced with random and arbitrary choices made by a random number generator or roll of the dice.
